Aki­ko Taka­ku­ra ist eine der letz­ten Über­le­ben­den der Atom­bom­ben­ex­plo­si­on in Hiro­shi­ma. An Obon, dem japa­ni­schen Geis­ter­fest, keh­ren die See­len ihrer ver­stor­be­nen Ahnen zurück. Aki­ko wird heim­ge­sucht von ihren Erin­ne­run­gen. Ihr Vater ist ein auto­ri­tä­rer Mann und über­zeug­ter Natio­na­list. Aki­kos All­tag besteht aus stän­di­gen Zurück­wei­sun­gen und Schlä­gen. Doch in den Trüm­mern einer ver­nich­te­ten Stadt erfährt Aki­ko end­lich sei­ne väter­li­che Lie­be – ein Animadokfilm.

Bio­gra­phie

And­re Hör­mann was born 1975. He stu­di­ed poli­ti­cal sci­ence at Hum­boldt Uni­ver­si­ty, Ber­lin, direc­ting at Film­uni­ver­si­ty, Babels­berg and gra­dua­ted of Pro­fes­sio­nals Pro­gram in Screen­wri­ting at UCLA. His docu­men­ta­ries have been shown and award­ed at many pres­ti­gious inter­na­tio­nal fes­ti­vals. He works as a direc­tor, pro­du­cer and wri­ter in LA and Berlin.

Anna Berg­mann was born in Moscow, Rus­sia on 29.08.1980. Drea­med about beco­ming a clown — or a super­in­ten­dent. Beca­me ani­ma­tor. Favo­ri­te child­hood acti­vi­ties were dra­wing on wall paper, declai­ming poems and des­troy­ing the fami­ly por­ce­lain. 1999 star­ted stu­dy­ing archi­tec­tu­re in Moscow. After two years gave up and chan­ged to ani­ma­ti­on. 2002–2006 was stu­dy­ing art-direc­tion of ani­ma­ted films at VGIK (Film Uni­ver­si­ty, Moscow). 2006–2013 was stu­dy­ing ani­ma­ti­on at HFF “Kon­rad Wolf” in Pots­dam, Germany.
Sin­ce Octo­ber 2011 free­lan­ce ani­ma­tor in Ber­lin and New York. Samo’s films were shown at acclai­med film fes­ti­vals around the world such as Ber­li­na­le, Anne­cy, Stutt­gart, Hiro­shi­ma, Encoun­ters FF, Cork FF, Aspen Shorts­fest etc.
