Bio­gra­phie
Xan­dra grew up in the glow of pira­ted films, which is how she beca­me a cine­phi­le. In her life befo­re film­ma­king she work­ed as a cura­tor, published short fic­tion, and wro­te art cri­ti­cism. In 2023, her film Sen­ti­men­tal Sto­ries pre­mie­red at the Venice Film Fes­ti­val (Oriz­zon­ti). In 2024, her film On the Impos­si­bi­li­ty of an Homage, pro­du­ced by Ada Solo­mon and Jonas Dorn­bach, was sel­ec­ted for Par­di di Doma­ni at the Locar­no Film Fes­ti­val and won the pri­ze of the Bucha­rest Inter­na­tio­nal Dance Festival.
