Hazi­ra ist eine Über­le­ben­de aus Sre­bre­ni­ca. Nach 29 Jah­ren lebt sie noch immer im eige­nen Land in einem Flücht­lings­la­ger. Mit schwar­zem Humor und stil­ler Resi­li­enz bewäl­tigt sie das Trau­ma eines Krie­ges, der nach wie vor ihr Leben bestimmt.

Bio­gra­phie
Jakob Kre­se grew up bet­ween the for­mer Yugo­sla­via and Ger­ma­ny. Grand­child to Yugo­slav par­tisans on one side and a Nazi judge on the other, he beca­me obses­sed with the ten­si­ons within the rela­ti­onship bet­ween the indi­vi­du­al and the coll­ec­ti­ve. He tri­es to explo­re the­se struc­tu­ral con­nec­tions in his cine­ma­tic work, sear­ching for past memo­ries and future pos­si­bi­li­ties of resistance.
