„Edifice“ dokumentiert eine zweimonatige Reise durch die USA, bis in die Wüste von Utah und Nevada. Zwei unbestimmte weibliche Figuren fliehen vor etwas Unbekanntem. In Anlehnung an das feministische Roadmovie „Thelma and Louise“ bringt „Edifice“ eigenes 16-mm-Material mit verschwommenen Bildern des 90er-Jahre-Films zusammen. Gossing und Sieckmann stellen Szenen des ikonischen Films nach, samt einem alternativen Ende zur Musik von Huyghend.

Biographie
As a duo Miriam Gossing and Lina Sieckmann have shot several experimental films on 16-mm film, in which urban and private architecture, hyper-staged environment, and the notion of desire are examined – combining documentary imagery with fiction and found footage.
Their work is shown internationally in exhibitions and film festivals (e.g. Hamburger Bahnhof – Museum für Gegenwartskunst Berlin, International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, Videonale, Kunstmuseum Bonn, Anthology Film Archives NYC).
