Parametric Expression
»Parametric Expression« ist ein animierter 3D-Film, der sich mit quantifizierten Emotionen befasst. In der Animation werden Emotionen auf eine Reihe technischer Parameter beschränkt, die wiederholt, übertragen, manipuliert und letztlich verzerrt werden können. Die Animation spielt mit dem Begriff des »Uncanny Valley«, begrüßt aber das Abstoßende, das dieser Begriff meint, und strebt dabei doch nach etwas Schönem.

Mike Pelletier (1978) is a Canadian artist based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Working in mediums such as 3D animation and kinetic installation, his work bridges the divide between digital and physical space. Through differing means of technological production, his work explores the various ways in which the human body is represented in art and the social milieu.
