Bio­gra­phie
Heta Jää­li­no­ja was born in 1989 in Van­taa, Fin­land. She was about to have an exci­ting child­hood in the city sub­urbs, but her par­ents deci­ded to move when she was 7, so she spent her ear­ly years in the coun­try­si­de whe­re not­hing hap­pen­ed. She got inte­res­ted in weird ani­ma­ti­on when her mother took her to
Tam­pe­re Film Fes­ti­val when she was 13.
Heta stu­di­ed ani­ma­ti­on at Tur­ku Arts Aca­de­my and finis­hed her MA in ani­ma­ti­on at Esto­ni­an Aca­de­my of Arts in 2016. Her gra­dua­ti­on film Pene­lo­pe won mul­ti­ple awards in fes­ti­vals and was nomi­na­ted for “Fin­nish Oscars”, the Jus­si sta­tue, for the best short film in 2018.
