Im August 2017 ent­schied ich mich für Cami­lo Najar – in den sozia­len Medi­en bekannt als »Son of Sodom« – als den Prot­ago­nis­ten mei­nes ers­ten Lang­films. Bei die­ser Wahl ging es um sein Leben, sei­ne Sexua­li­tät, die Zukunft, die er für sich sah – und um Dro­gen. Eine Woche spä­ter, mit 21, starb er an einer Über­do­sis Hero­in. Wer war »Son of Sodom«?

Bio­gra­phie

Theo Mon­toya, born in 1992 in Medel­lín, Colom­bia, is an audio­vi­su­al com­mu­ni­ca­ti­on gra­dua­te of the Uni­ver­si­ty of Medel­lín. He is the foun­der and direc­tor of the pro­duc­tion com­pa­ny Des­vio Visu­al, which is a pro­duc­tion house dedi­ca­ted to the crea­ti­on of expe­ri­men­tal films and docu­men­ta­ries. For more than seven years, he has work­ed on audio­vi­su­al pro­duc­tion with the youth of his city, focu­sing on que­er, nihi­li­stic, and social issues. His docs­hort SON OF SODOM was sel­ec­ted for Can­nes Fes­ti­val in 2020.
