Born on June 28th 1998 in Ho Chi Minh city (VIET­NAM), Nguyễn Thiên Ân is a Viet­na­me­se film­ma­ker working at the inter­sec­tion of fic­tion and rea­li­ty. His films offer a sati­ri­cal lens on socie­ty, whe­re dra­ma stems from social para­do­xes, enga­ging the audi­ence with a humo­rous tone. His latest short, The Dream is a Snail, sup­port­ed by the ‘CJ Short Film Making Sup­port Pro­gram in Viet­nam’, world pre­mie­res in com­pe­ti­ti­on at the 79th Can­nes Film Fes­ti­val, mar­king his inter­na­tio­nal emergence.
